Our Story

Who We Are

The NHWGA Charitable Foundation is a non-profit 501c(3) organization whose mission is to support women’s golf in New Hampshire through scholarships and grants to individuals and organizations whose mission is similar to ours.

Our organization was initially established in 2018 to provide supplemental financial support to the New Hampshire Women’s Golf Association (NHWGA).  Since its inception in the 1950s the association supported women’s golf in New Hampshire offering tournaments and events for women statewide. Due to their IRS status their primary source of income was membership dues as they were unable to raise funds via traditional methods of donations and/or sponsorships.  Hence the establishment of the Charitable Foundation which can accept donations and seek sponsorships.  When the NHWGA transition to the New Hampshire Golf Association (NHGA) in 2022, some funds that they held in reserves were endowed to the NHWGA Charitable Foundation to continue the legacy of awarding scholarships to young women seeking a post-secondary education; and a grant endowment to continue supporting both individuals and organizations catering to women golfers in New Hampshire.

We are thankful for the contribution of the NHWGA. Our work is just beginning but with your help we can continue to support women’s golf in New Hampshire.

Our Vision

To promote women’s golf through scholarships and grants to individuals and organizations committed to growing the game.

Our Mission

The NHWGA Charitable Foundation is operated exclusively to provide funding and other financial support through scholarships, subsidies and grants to the youth and other qualified individuals of New Hampshire and to affiliate with other non-profit organizations whose objectives are similar to ours.
