NHWGA CHAMPIONSHIP

August 3rd, 4th, & 5th, 2010

Entries Open:    July  7, 2010                    

Entries Close:   July 14, 2010

 

 

FORMAT & FIELD:

 

102 Low Handicaps, including 2010 NHWGA Junior Champion and Runner-Up.  Entry fee will be waived for the Junior Champion.

 

 54 Holes stroke play; field will be cut to low 60 plus ties after 36 holes.

 

20% of the field will play for gross prizes.  Playoff for 1st gross.  All other ties will be broken using the USGA recommended system (Last day, last nine, last six, last 3 etc.).  Ties for 20th place will be honored.

 

Net prizes will be awarded to the top players not receiving gross awards.  Ties will be honored.

 

No card – elimination from the tournament, including daily net awards.

 

 

ELIGIBILITY:

 

1.        An applicant must have a USGA handicap index of 18.9 or lower as of the opening date of the tournament entries, based on at least ten 18-hole scores posted between January 1, 2009 and July 1, 2010.

 

2.        Any amateur woman who wishes to compete in the NHWGA Championship must be a resident of the state of New Hampshire as of January 1, 2010 and be a member in good standing of the NHWGA as of the opening date of tournament entries.

 

3.        Any amateur woman residing outside the state of New Hampshire shall be eligible to compete in the NHWGA Championship provided she is a member in good standing of an NHWGA golf club and has been for the proceeding three (3) years.

 

4.        Parents and guardians are NOT allowed to caddy or coach juniors.
