The New Hampshire Women's Golf Association Scholarship is for members, relatives of members of the NHWGA and/or dependents of direct supporters. An applicant must be a resident of the State of New Hampshire and enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
Eligibility requirements include:
- Male or female candidates must be a member of NHWGA, relative of a member of NHWGA and/or a dependent of a direct supporter of NHWGA
- Resident of the State of New Hampshire if not a member of NHWGA
- Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university
Candidates must meet all of the above criteria in order to be considered for an award. They are also evaluated for merit factors including academic work, extracurricular activities, community/volunteer activities, work experience and financial need.
The Jean E. Lyons Memorial Scholarship is also offered and was endowed through the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation in loving memory of Jean Lyons, an avid golfer and member of New Hampshire Women’s Golf Association for over sixty years. This scholarship is awarded annually to a female golfer who is a resident of the State of New Hampshire or a playing member at a New Hampshire golf club and pursuing higher education at an accredited college or university and who combines outstanding character with promise of academic success.
