Juniors

The mission of the NHWGA Junior Golf Tour is to provide junior girls in New Hampshire a competitive environment to play golf, which helps build character and good sportsmanship. It is our hope to promote the honor and integrity of the game to all who aspire to play, while preserving the traditions of golf.

The NHWGA has initiated a junior golf tour in 2005.    The purpose is to offer junior girls a competitive environment to play as well as meet other girls who share their passion.

The NHGA has provided a successful Junior Tour for boys and girls for many years.  Over the past few years we have become aware that as their program grows, the number of girls participating does not.

With the blessing of the NHGA and the philosophy to work alongside their successful program, we are making an effort to get our own junior program in place to give the junior female golfers a venue of their own, hoping to entice the young and less advanced players to give it a try.

Our goal is to reach the junior girls that are already playing at least nine holes of a normal layout on a standard golf course. We will have volunteers on the course offering help with etiquette and rules.  Hopefully along the way they will learn a rule or two as well as how to take care of the golf course.  Ultimately we want them to have fun and enjoy this wonderful game as they become players that respect the course and the game.  We want to do our share to “grow this game”.
