About the NHWGA
The New Hampshire Women’s Golf Association’s objective is to promote, stimulate, organize, and maintain interest and activity in golf among women in the State of New Hampshire.
To be eligible for membership in the association, one must have a current USGA handicap index of 25.0 or less, based on at least five 18 hole scores. An individual member must have an established USGA handicap at a member club. Currently there are two divisions for regular Tuesday play. These are “A” (USGA handicap index up to 21.9) and “B” (USGA handicap index 22.0 and up).
NHWGA is proud to award numerous college scholarships each year in addition to supporting the McDonough Scholarship Fund. more info »
During the summer months, weekly tournaments are scheduled each Tuesday at member clubs for the two handicap divisions. The two divisions of players join together in special team competitions five times a year as well. In addition, mixed teams of men and women play 4 tournaments per season. The premier event of the summer is the NHWGA Amateur Championship. We also sponsor the Junior Girls Championship and the Senior, Legend & Classic Championships.
The NHWGA provides the USGA/GHIN handicap system for all women in the state of New Hampshire. We also provide course rating services to all NH courses.
